Kiernan Francis is a writer, director, producer, and artist based in New York City. Primarily a filmmaker, he works across moving image, photography, casting, and production, exploring identity, intimacy, absurdity, and contemporary subculture.
Francis is available for commercial, editorial, branded, and special projects as a director, photographer, casting director, stylist, and producer. His clients, collaborators, and work experience include work for Versace, Celine, Puma, Skims, SSENSE, VMAN, Warby Parker, Tommy Hilfiger, Eric Emanuel, Heaven by Marc Jacobs, The New Yorker, i-D, Magazine META, DUST Magazine, ODDA Magazine, Highsnobiety, Levi’s, Interview Magazine, Paper Magazine, Document Journal, The Los Angeles Times, and Enfants Riches Déprimés.
Francis conceives and produces the majority of his independent work himself, building teams to pull off high level concepts on small scale productions, bringing a resourceful, hands-on approach to both creative development and production. His independent films, photographs, and installations have been exhibited and screened internationally in galleries, independent spaces, and film programs in Paris, Marseille, Torino, Vienna, Rome, London, Miami, and New York City.
